Stan Lee

It was heartrending and devastating hearing about Stan Lee's death because even though i never met him. It felt like i had lost someone close to me. His characters helped me in many ways. It help me make friends with people at school, bond with my father, and make me feel apart of a community. Watching his characters come to life has brought me so much joy over the years. Not only did Stan create characters we know and love. He started the Stan Lee foundation. Their mission is to "Provide people access (all ages) to literacy resources helping them to participate and communicate in an engaged, and interdisciplinary, learner-centered environment for self-improvement and self-sufficiency.Promote diversity, national literacy, culture and the arts.Embrace innovation, integrity and scholarly and artistic engagement to build a community of learners, collaborators and creators." The Foundation provides guidance, leadership and resources with other organizations that share its passion for quality in these fields. 1 in every 7 adults is illiterate. The Stan lee foundation works with Morgan Stanley Unified Industries Inc. and Artist Jorge Burtin to ensure people get the help they need to be successful. Collaborating with these organizations will benefit by having access to one of the most trusted and respected literary icons of this era. Stan Lee also served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during World War II from 1942 to 1945. Stan Lee also dedicated his life to helping children. Marvel Studios: Hero Acts Committed More Than $1M to Help Children Impacted by Serious Illness. Marvel products and a custom Avengers-themed comic were added to the Disney hospital care packages that were delivered to more than 440 children’s hospitals in the U.S. Additionally, earlier this year, Marvel Studios’ talent banded together for a social media challenge and raised $250,000 for Starlight as part of the Marvel Universe Unites campaign. Stan lee will live on forever in our hearts. Rest In peace to the greatest super hero.
