Special Effects Makeup Experience
So this week was my school's annual Horror High. Horror High is an event that is presented by the clubs and athletic teams. Each club and team gets one hallway to decorate with tarps, paint, and whatever else they desire. One of the many fun parts aside from getting to scare fellow classmates was costuming. Watching everyone form into these amazing characters and seeing them act like other people was crazy. But i had the honor of having my make up done by a close friend and fellow performer Jena Page. I asked a lot of her. When coming up with my character's make up. I knew i would need some prosthetic scars and scratches. But, i had no idea on how to do that even though i have watched countless behind the scenes of make up tests and transformations. So i went to her because she is talented and dependable. Fast forward to the night of Horror High. She made sure i was totally comfortable because doing this type of makeup takes time. She explained to me each step and how to take it off when the night was done. My make up experience was one to be remembered. It takes time but it doesn't seem that long when you have such a amazing friend to take you through each step. The results are the following! Thanks again to Jena and your hard work!
