Boys On The Side

This movies deal with very serious topics such as an abusive relationship, drugs, smoking, and aids. So i don't suggest watching this with children under the age of 13. Why 13? my reasoning because if you want to make sure your new teenager doesn't get in trouble and you show them this movie i am positive that they won't do anything.

In this movie you see a pretty real depiction of what it is like to have aids. Most movies try to make it a romantic and sexually arousing thing but it's the exact opposite. This movie shows what it is like to be in or have relationships with it. You see how it deteriorates you and i give all the credit to Mary-Louise Parker who portrays Robin in the movie. She brings a light to this character and she also brings the character a beautiful amount of sass and attitude. You REALLY get attached to the character. All the actors deserve so much. Drew Barrymore (a sweet, kind, and child like person) took a Harley Quinn twist on this character. She was sweet and then had a psycho twist. Whoopi was absolutely amazing. She manages to give a character many sides. It is very interesting to watch. This movie is a really good (what i like to refer to as ) sleepover movie. Something to watch on a girls night in. So pop some popcorn and get some candy. Have fun! Laugh and cry while watching this fantastic movie.
